Styling Settings
This section gives you a brief overview of the available Layout Parameters of the NXD YouTubeBox.
Player Layout
You can choose between three different layouts for the NXD YouTubeBox module.
- Default Layout (Standard YouTube Player with an AspectRatio of 16:9)
- Banner Layout (YouTube Player with a custom AspectRatio)
- Polaroid Layout (YouTube Player with a custom AspectRatio and additional Options to create a Polaroid Effect)
Default Layout Options
Border Radius
Define the Border Radius of the YouTube Player. Values can be set in px, em or rem.
Container Shadow
Here you can define a shadow for the YouTube Player Container. Available options are:
- Offset X
- Offset Y
- Blur Radius
- Color (rgba)
Custom Classnames
Here you can define custom CSS Classnames for the YouTube Player Container.
Banner Layout Options
Border Radius
Define the Border Radius of the YouTube Player. Values can be set in px, em or rem.
Aspect Ratio
Define the Aspect Ratio of the YouTube Player. Allowed formats are 16:9 or 16/9.
Horizontal Alignment
Only available if the Aspect Ratio defines a container that is wider than higher (Horizontal Banners).
Vertical Alignment
Only available if the Aspect Ratio defines a container that is higher than wider (Vertical Banners aka Skyscrapper).
Container Shadow
Here you can define a shadow for the YouTube Player Container. Available options are:
- Offset X
- Offset Y
- Blur Radius
- Color (rgba)
Custom Classnames
Here you can define custom CSS Classnames for the YouTube Player Container.
Polaroid Layout Options
Polaroid Min Viewport
From which viewport or larger should the Polaroid style be used? Small = Affects device widths of 640px and larger. Medium = Affects device widths of 960px and larger. Large = Affects device widths of 1200px and larger. XLarge = Affects device widths of 1600px and larger.
Polaroid Rotation
Set the Rotation of the Polaroid in degrees. Minimal value is -179. Maximal value is 180.
Horizontal Padding
Define the horizontal padding in percent. Can be used to generate a gap around the video. Based on your video rotation you may need a larger or smaller padding value to keep the whole video inside the container.
Vertical Padding
Define the vertical padding in percent. Can be used to generate a gap around the video. Based on your video rotation you may need a larger or smaller padding value to keep the whole video inside the container.
Polaroid Settings
Here you can define the background color, the padding of the Polaroid - use this editor to generate your personal polaroid look.
Here you can define:
- Padding left
- Padding right
- Padding top
- Padding bottom
- Background color
Border Radius
Define the Border Radius of the YouTube Player. Values can be set in px, em or rem.
Aspect Ratio
Define the Aspect Ratio of the YouTube Player. Allowed formats are 16:9 or 16/9.
Video Scaling
In Polaroid mode, a format that may be unsuitable for the video box can be used. With video scaling, you can ensure that no black borders appear around the video.
Container Shadow
Here you can define a shadow for the YouTube Player Container. Available options are:
- Offset X
- Offset Y
- Blur Radius
- Color (rgba)

Here you can define custom CSS Classnames for the YouTube Player Container.
